Set Catering is really about, Brisbane born and raised, Natalie Marcelis, and her dream of raising the ‘bar’ for quality food and service to the catering market - a market that expects it to be just like ‘homemade’, and then some.

Nat completed her chef's apprenticeship directly in the catering business some twenty years ago under one of the finest mentors in the industry who taught her that the true ‘ingredients’ of success were a happy kitchen, sincere craft, and, a little ‘left overs’ for others. She subsequently went on to successfully manage and lift the performance and standards of a number of restaurants. 

Curiously, looking from the outside in, she began to notice over time ‘shortcuts’ creeping into the catering business, and, as those shortcuts turned into ever widening ‘gaps’, she took the plunge by starting Set Catering, offering to corporate and event organisers, superior quality, handmade eats, exquisitely presented (totally 'Instagramable'), while tasting just like homemade should.

She's also serves the broadcast and film industry where the demand for quality food, when and where it's needed, is finding resonance with time-constrained, solution driven production managers and line producers.

Bold and daring by nature, Nat's mission is to combine her playfulness with staff and clients alike while giving back to the community she operates in. Invariably, she finds such ‘ingredients’ lead to exquisite food in a way that appeals to every one…'the good stuff' she calls it!

Set Catering is now positioned at the intersection between high quality, locally sourced ingredients and wholehearted service - a satisfyingly simple and enjoyable experience all round for everyone.
